Background
The portal framework
is a network of coexisting portals and sites developed by RevilloC Developments Ltd. Many of the
sites are interlinked to share data and provide one login point for the
benefit of our customers.
Your data
Your data is managed
by RevilloC Developments and its affiliate companies, who are under contract to
manage your data within our guidelines. (The affiliate companies only receive
certain items of data.)
RevilloC Developments do not sell or trade your data to any third party company that is not affiliated to the portal framework, however, we may at some future time create web services for other companies to use our data within their own web site. At this time, we will modify the advert details page to allow you to withhold your advert from sites outside our framework.
Certain parts of your data may be made available to the visitors of this site, for example, your postcode for your car advert, your details in the dating section. By using the portal framework, you agree to your data being used this way.
We will from time to time compile statistics based on data entered into the portal framework. This will not contain any personally identifying information, but we may use third party companies for this task.
Your data may be transferred to another company, should the portal framework be transferred. This will ensure minimum disruption to the service.
If you have enabled the "receive information" check box on the login page, we will occassionaly send information on our products, services or advertisements to you.
Shared data
For the benefit of
the portal and our visitors, we share data between our websites. This data is
advertisements and contact details. This will allow visitors to other sites to
view your advert and give greater coverage. It also allows you to log in to our
other sites using the same username/password. The shared data is held in a
central location and is not copied between sites.
Web Logs
Normal web services
log visitors to a web site. This contains information such as IP address, where
you have come from (followed a link), what pages you have visited on our site.
We will from time to time compile statistics based on this information for the
benefit of our affiliates and ourselves and use such information to improve our
sites. Personally identifiable information is not usually passed along with this
data.
Cookies
Cookies are a small
text file that the web page may place on your computer. They are usually used to
manage your connection to the web server by maintaining a 'state'. Such a
'state' may be logon information.
We may use cookies on parts of our site to manage logon. We do not pass any usernames or passwords in cookies though your email address is held in a non permanent cookie. (non permanent cookies expire the moment you close your browser)
3rd party companies advertising on our site, through the use of banners, buttons or special links may also use cookies. We are unable to monitor this use. We advise you to visit their site to view their privacy policy.
